They will also brief you on what their plans are for the future and any challenges that they may face.
With esports being the new powerhouse in the sporting industry, this session will uncover what new potential challenges are currently being faced but also what upcoming opportunities are available for the future development of the sport.
INTERNATIONAL FEDERATIONS & ASSOCIATIONS
These sessions will involve the international federations being allocated in their not-for-profit associations (ASOIF, AWOIF etc). With the limitations of operations due to the Pandemic, these sessions aim to better understand what actions have been taken to date, how they were delivered and focus on opportunities and gaps where this expert community can help.
City wide activation for all significant events presents unique challenges beyond the boundaries of venues. These sessions, consisting of host cities will discuss the range of challenges and ideas to attempt to deliver sustainable mass gathering events as close to normality as is possible
NEW OLYMPIC SPORTS
As the world’s greatest sporting event, the Olympic Games continuously adds new sports into the frame. This session will better understand how the federations are preparing for the upcoming games and what future opportunities are available
In this workshop you will have the chance to introduce yourself to Prime Contractors who are looking for sub-contractors; they will brief you on their plans and challenges for future events, which will lead to a moderated discussion.
SERVICE DELIVERY PARTNERS
With late notification of changes in the international environment, event organisers will need to access expertise which previously may have been deemed to be ‘back-office functions’ such as travel, logistics, insurance and foreign exchange. This workshop will examine the mitigating actions which can be taken to limit the potential downsides and risks from operating in a volatile environment
TURN KEY PROCUREMENT
This session aims to better understand if International Federations are taking a greater responsibility for coordinating and delivering Turn Key Solutions for their own sports at future Olympic Games? What are the trends evolving in the Olympic venue Turn Key Solutions procurement landscape?
In this workshop you will have the chance to introduce yourself to at least 3 Operational Heads of stadia or arena; they will brief you on their plans and challenges for future events, which will lead to a moderated discussion- tapping into your expert knowledge, about how opportunities can be exploited, and challenges resolved. This will give you permission to return to contact these individuals with specific solutions.
